Just fire up http://antimatter15.github.com/player/player.html in your HTML5-compatible browser and browse to the topmost folder in your music library. The app will quickly build an index of all your tunes and let you start listening right inside your Web browser. Click on the filter library text, and you can enter a search string — results load as you type.
There’s a volume control, shuffle mode, play/pause control, and you can click and drag to skip forward or rewind during playback. As OMG! Ubuntu points out, you can even save the app to your hard drive and run it offline, which is pretty darn cool.
Not all browsers are equal when it comes to HTML5 implementation, of course. We found that Chrome worked the best, and Firefox was OK. It’s also worth noting that this music player comes from the same developer that created one of our favorite restartless Firefox 4 add-ons, drag2up.

We’ve all heard it before; you need to select a lengthy password, one that’s hard to guess. Not a dictionary word. And it has to have some capital letters in it too, and some digits, and a symbol or two won’t hurt either.
That’s a handy set of rules to keep in mind, but How Secure is My Password helps us understand why they’re important.
It’s basically like a full-screen version of one of those password-strength meters websites sometimes use. But instead of showing you a bar going from “weak” to “strong”, it shows you an estimation of how long your password would take to crack. That’s a much more visceral way to understand why your password is strong.
For example, when I entered “rabbit”, it came back with “your password is one of the 500 most common passwords. It could be cracked almost instantly”. “rabbit5″ would take two hours, “$rabbit5″ would take 38 days, and “$rabbitZ5″ would take 237 years. It’s quite enlightening to see what a difference three simple characters can make.
How Secure is My Password lets you know just that originally appeared on Download Squad on Sat, 05 Mar 2011 14:00:00 EST. Please see our terms for use of feeds.

Taking a break from reality and heading south of the border, Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy were spotted soaking up with sun in Cabo San Lucas on Sunday (February 5).
The ?Something Borrowed? babe rocked a cute little bikini as she showed off her toned figure while chatting with her musician fiance, who opted to wear a robe while sipping on a refreshing frozen drink.
Getting some quality alone time, the engaged to be married couple’s newest addition, 6-month old Bingham, and Kate?s older son, Ryder, were nowhere to be seen as the two lovebirds made the most of their adults-only time in the Mexican locale.
The vacation comes as Hudson is set to star in a new movie called ?Everly,? which is set to begin filming this Spring.

Miller took MTV News back to the ‘Burgh and introduced us to some of his city’s hottest up-and-coming talent.
By Rob Markman
Yes, the world knows Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller, but Pittsburgh has a wealth of hip-hop talent. With the Steel City’s two breakout stars already accounted for, MTV News took a trip to the ‘Burgh to see who’s got next.
“A lot of people are talented. There are just a million talented people out there,” Miller told MTV News when he took us on a tour through his hometown in December.
Acts like Boaz, Chevy Woods, B White and Mayo of the 58′s, Jabari X and Varsity Squad have been repping Pittsburgh locally for some time now, and while Mac supports all the city’s homegrown talent, if he had to pick one act to break out nationwide, it would be the Come Up, a.k.a. the duo of Vinny Radio and Franchise.
“I brought them on tour and I plan on bringing them out on tour, so if it’s up to me, they’re gonna be the next people that come out the ‘Burgh,” Miller said. “But there’s definitely a lot more people who could; it’s not just Vinny and Fran.”
Mac Miller introduces Pittsburgh’s hottest producers.
The Come Up exist as a part of a larger hip-hop collective called the 58′s, along with rappers B White and Mayo. That union exemplifies the type of unity that exists in Pittsburgh’s rap scene.
“It’s a small city … so pretty much we’ve all been familiar with each other for a long time,” Franchise said. “Everybody in this city who’s pretty much doing it legit, we’ve all been trying to get it and put the city on.”
Taylor Gang’s Chevy Woods echoed a similar sentiment. “Everybody’s hardworking, and it’s not like a big music scene out there, so when you got somethin’, you just go with it,” he said. “Everybody sees the light that shines on [Wiz Khalifa] and Mac [Miller] and now it’s trickling down to everybody else.”
Wiz Khalifa motivates Pittsburgh’s up-and-coming artists.
There is a pretty diverse group of rap characters that come out of Pittsburgh. Wiz is a hitmaker who dedicates a lot of his catalog to partying and getting high, while Mac embodies a youthful spirit. Boaz is street, and female MC Kellee Maize spits sociopolitical bars. “To be honest, I do think Boaz is right there on the cusp. I think I’m maybe close to the cusp too,” Maize said, laughing.
“I just bring that underground feel,” Boaz said, describing his deeply rooted street sound. “I embrace the culture of that poverty line that I’m speaking about.”
For years, Time Bomb has been an epicenter for Pittsburgh hip-hop. More than just a clothing store, Time Bomb has become a place for local ‘Burgh MCs to congregate and sling their mixtapes to hungry fans. The shop’s owner, Brick, has seen many young artists walk through his doors, including Miller and Khalifa. When it comes to the future of Pittsburgh hip-hop, Brick is a wide-eyed optimist.
“I think Mac and Wiz opened the door, but there’s gonna be an army of producers, an army of rappers, and they’re gonna be all different. People know: Pittsburgh, it is what it is, it’s a hardworking town,” he said. “I can name 100 people, because I want everyone to make it from here, you understand? This is Pittsburgh.”
Who do you believe will be the next rap act to emerge from Pittsburgh? Tell us in the comments!
Take a look back at MTV News’ Back to the ‘Burgh with Mac Miller and see how we spotlighted the city’s vibrant hip-hop scene.

Registration at Ontario bank surges after singer tweets about one fan’s need for a lung transplant.

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> is a charitable guy. So when a fan of his reached out to him on Twitter to help spread the word about organ and blood donation, one particular bank quickly saw more and more people in the giving spirit. Belieber Helene Campbell, 20, tweeted the teen star last week about her own struggles (including how she herself needs a lung transplant). Bieber then began tweeting to her and about her, shedding more light on the cause than the fan could have ever anticipated. In the days since the online correspondence, the Ontario-based Trillium Gift of Life Network has seen donations skyrocket to more than 1,200 people, four times the amount the network usually receives. In part it had a lot to do with Bieber, but also the campaign started by Campbell, who suffers from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. "Helene has done an incredible job inspiring and motivating Ontarians to register their consent to organ and tissue donation. On an average day we would expect about 50 new online registrations," President and CEO Ronnie Gavsie said in a statement on Wednesday (January 25). "Since Helene's campaign began last Thursday, the average has been closer to 200 per day! There are over 1,500 people in Ontario waiting for a lifesaving organ transplant, on behalf of all them and Trillium Gift of Life Network, thank you Helene and thank you Justin Bieber!" Shortly after his initial tweet, she shared with him, "@justinbieber you have made a huge impact, not only on my life, but for many others in need of the gift of life now and in the future!" His response: "@alungstory glad to be able to help. best part of what i do." Bieber's other charity work includes his <a href="/news/articles/1673555/justin-bieber-believe-charity-drive.jhtml"><i>Believe</i> Charity Drive</a> as well as his participation with the <a href="/news/articles/1674628/justin-bieber-new-york-city.jhtml">Pencils of Promise foundation</a>.</p>

Actress talks dishes about rumors during ‘MTV First: This Means War,’ airing tonight at 7:56 p.m. on MTV and MTV.com!

<P>A few weeks back, a rumor hit the Internet that <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> wanted to remake "Fear," his pal <a href="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/166010/personmain.jhtml">Mark Wahlberg</a>'s classic thriller. Being that <a href="/news/articles/1665220/justin-bieber-mark-wahlberg-movie.jhtml">Wahlberg and Bieber</a> already have a project in the works, it wouldn't be too off base for the teen star to try his hand at the creepy film that follows a young man (Walhberg) who becomes obsessed with his teen girlfriend (<a href="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/67798/personmain.jhtml">Reese Witherspoon</a>) and goes on a dangerous rampage when the romance turns sour. </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:729024" width="240" height="211"></div><p> Witherspoon will sit down with MTV News on Tuesday (January 31) for an exclusive interview and premiere of a previously unseen clip from her upcoming film, "This Means War." The special, "MTV First: This Means War," will air at 7:56 p.m. ET on MTV and MTV.com. And, during that chat, she has an interesting reaction to the news that her film may get a new-millennium remake. "Oh, really? Fine, great. That'd be cool. Would he be playing me, or is he playing Mark Wahlberg?" she wondered. "Is it like a girl who harasses the family, like a stalker who can't leave him alone? That would be good, right? I mean girls get crazy about him. Yeah, he's very talented." Much like <link type="content" id="1676492">Wahlberg, Witherspoon thinks Bieber certainly does have that "it" factor. "You know, I didn't know much about him until I saw the documentary. And I thought that was really worthwhile, worth seeing and it made me think, 'What a sweetheart,' and he has a really nice connection to his family," she said. "He's been working really hard, singing on the street." Following the on-air "First" segment, Academy Award winner Witherspoon will stay for an additional 30-minute interview on MTV.com with MTV News' Josh Horowitz. Fans can be part of the action right away by submitting questions on MTV.com or via Twitter by using the @MTVNews hashtag #MTVFirst. "This Means War," the McG-directed comedy-action film, stars Witherspoon as a seductive female dating two of the world's deadliest CIA operatives (played by Chris Pine and Tom Hardy), whose partnership and friendship are put in jeopardy when they begin to battle for her affection. Instead of talking to her about the love triangle, they try to settle the matter using all of the weapons at their disposal. The film also stars one of Witherspoon's real-life pals, comedian and "Chelsea Lately" host Chelsea Handler, who gives Reese's character the terrible advice that she should continue dating both men. <i>Can Justin Bieber tackle a "Fear" remake? Leave your comments below!</i> <b>Before "<link type="content" id="1677714">MTV First: Reese Witherspoon</link>" hits MTV on Tuesday at 7:56 p.m. ET, check out <a href="/news/articles/1678046/reese-witherspoon-this-means-war-mtv.jhtml">Reese's first-ever, totally adorable MTV interview</a>, when she opened up in 1991 at the age of 14 about what drew her to Hollywood. But she doesn’t ‘encourage’ Ava and Deacon to watch them: ‘I think it’s weird,’ she says during ‘MTV First: This Means War.’

Hopefully you tuned in to MTV on Tuesday night for “MTV First: This Means War,” during which acclaimed actress and MTV Generation Award winner Reese Witherspoon presented an exclusive clip from her upcoming film and stuck around for a lengthy chat to discuss her diverse career and various leading men, the most recent being Robert Pattinson and “War” co-stars Chris Pine and Tom Hardy.
Witherspoon also talked about being a mom to daughter Ava, 12, and son Deacon, 8, and whether they have started to watch any of her movies together.
“Not really. I think it’s weird,” Witherspoon admitted. “I don’t encourage it, but if it comes on, we’ll watch it. They kind of find it entertaining. They’re kind of fascinated with a movie I did when I was 14. They really want to see ‘The Man in the Moon,’ because that’s sort of starting to be the age that they are.”
Seeing as how many celeb kids choose to follow in their parents’ footsteps, we asked Witherspoon if her children caught the acting bug or talked about wanting to act.
“It just doesn’t enter the picture. I encourage their artistic abilities at home, but they’ve never said that it’s anything they wanted to do,” Witherspoon said.
The busy actress and mom also dished about her encounter with Kate Middleton at the California launch of Tusk Trust, an organization designed to preserving Africa’s culture, back in July.
“That was very cool,” Witherspoon gushed of meeting the Duchess of Cambridge. “There’s such a history there, and I think there’s also a fascination with [Kate]. She carries herself so beautifully, keeps her composure, and under a lot of stress, I’m just kind of fascinated with how people handle different modes and lifestyles and all that. She’s very smart and sweet.”
Stick with MTV News as we roll out more from our exclusive “MTV First: This Means War” interview with Reese Witherspoon!

<P>Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation will launch February 29 with a fete at Harvard University, the singer and her mother and co-founder, Cynthia Germanotta, announced in a statement on Thursday (January 19). Gaga has long been a staunch supporter of anti-bullying legislation, reportedly <a href="/news/articles/1672010/lady-gaga-obama-meeting.jhtml">meeting with President Obama</a> to discuss the topic in September and <a href="/news/articles/1675501/lady-gaga-white-house-bullying.jhtml">visiting the White House</a> in early December to discuss the issue with administration officials. "My daughter's foundation was born out of her passion to create a better world where people are kinder and nicer to one another and are accepted for who they are, regardless of how different they may be," Germanotta said. "She has experienced many of the struggles that our youth encounter today, and identifies with the lasting effects they can have without proper support. Together, we look forward to creating a new movement that will engage and empower youth and accept them as valuable members of our society." </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:683377.id:1669247" width="240" height="211"></div><p> The Mother Monster's commitment to the gay community was again recognized Thursday (January 19) with a nomination for Outstanding Music Artist at the <a href="/news/articles/1677519/glaad-awards-lady-gaga-glee.jhtml">GLAAD Media Awards</a>.The awards recognize fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the LGBT community across all media. "I hope that we can acknowledge all together that where this needs to begin is in the schools," Gaga said. Once upon a time, there used to be a DOS game with a caveman and a human powered helicopter. The caveman would shuttle around the screen, madly trying to get customers to where they wanted to go.
Jetbus is not that game, but it’s obviously inspired by it. You’re driving a yellow school bus which has jets. I guess the jet engine takes quite a bit of space inside the bus, because you can only pick up one person at a time.
There are several doors on the screen, each with its own number. As you pick up a person, the status bar at the bottom of the screen shows you which number door you have to take them to.
You must fly your bus carefully, because if it gets bumped around too much, you lose. You earn money on each level, and can visit the garage to buy better jets and damping, power-ups, or even a whole new vehicle.
So while this game isn’t made as well as the original that inspired it, it does provide a few minutes of fun. And now, which one of you guys remembers the original and feels like pointing to it in the comments?

Sony Ericsson is looking to start a bromance with the McTwist-loving, Double-Cork-landing, A-Frame-riding masses jonesing for a new Android device. The handset maker has announced a “global strategic alliance” with Billabong to launch the Xperia Active Billabong Edition smartphone in select markets. The handset will come preloaded with exclusive content, including Billabong screen savers, and bundle several Billabong-branded games and applications. As the two companies tell it, the Xperia ABE is the “ideal smartphone for extreme sports enthusiasts.” Accordingly, Sony Ericsson hardware is about to start making appearances at various “major” Billabong events. Unfortunately, this next bit is really going to harsh your mello: the hardware is identical to that of the Xperia Active announced back in June, complete with a single-core 1GHz processor, Gingerbread, a 3-inch Reality display and a five-megapixel shooter. Even with its no-so-extreme spec sheet, we give SE a gnar-lay for effort.

The Andre 3000 remix dropped earlier this year and appears on K-Dollar Sign's album <i>Cannibal.</i> The guys will have a lot of swagger to compete with because when Andre appeared on the first remix, he had this to say: "We start out so cute in our baby pictures/ That mama shot for our daddy so that he wouldn't forget you/ He forgot anyway, but hey, one day he'll remember/ If not, he's human, I'm human, you human, we'll forgive him/ I call her Keisha, she like it because it's 'hood to her/ She call me Andre 6000 because I'm good to her." Tip told XXLmag.com that his appearance on the Ke$ha song is just one of many remixes he's amped about. He has also worked on remixes for Meek Mill and Rick Ross's "Ima Boss," as well as Jay-Z and Kanye West's <i>Watch the Throne</i> song "N—as in Paris." "I'm looking for some more records to jump on," he said. "That's what I'm doin' right now. I'm commandeering hit records right now. I'm hijacking hit records. If you got a hit, I'm on it." <i>Are you looking forward to the new "Sleazy" remix? Tell us in the comments!</i></p>

Sure, we’ve read the specs and we’ve seen the press shots, but we didn’t expect to get up close and personal with Samsung’s Galaxy S Advance (GT-I9070) until Mobile World Congress later this month. Fortunately, Filipino tech blog TechPinas was able to get a hands-on with the handset — complete with photos and video. The Gingerbread-packing phone, which looks like a cross between a Galaxy S II (in front) and a Nexus S (complete with curved glass), features a 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, a dual-core 1GHz CPU, 768MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a five megapixel AF camera with flash, an HSDPA 14.4Mbps radio and a 1500mAh battery. It’s expected to launch the week of February 27th, and according to UK retailer Clove, it’s going to cost £295 ($467) plus tax. That’s lovely and all, but without the Galaxy S III on the menu let’s just hope Samsung’s hiding something special up its sleeves for Barcelona. Until then, check out the pictures and video at the source link below.
Update: An additional set of photos of the Galaxy S Advance (in silver) just landed in our tip jar, direct from Vietnam.

They’re two of the most well-known men hailing from England, and David Beckham joined up with Prince Harry for a night of revelry in Central London’s Mayfair on Friday night (February 3).
The L.A. Galaxy footballer and the royal redhead both turned up at The Arts Club, with David’s “best friend” Dave Gardner and Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins also among the partygoers.
Taking the UK festivities into the wee hours of Saturday morning, Becks and Harry both turned up at the Charles Dickens founded private members club at around 10 PM while being spotted making separate exits at 3 AM.
The night out comes after David pre-taped an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show earlier in the day, during which he revealed that he and wife Victoria are pondering the possibility of adding on to their brood of four.
Of the potential family expansion, the 36-year-old dished, ?We might have one or two more [kids], you never know. We?re not thinking about it yet, but if it happens, great. We?re enjoying the kids as it is. It?s always a thought. We might keep going.?
Also talking about his baby girl, Beckham lovingly said, ??[Harper is] seven months now. I can?t even look at her without welling up. After having three boys, you just assume that you?re going to have another boy, but when we got told she was a little girl, it was amazing, amazing.?

We’ve covered Classic Shell before, but here’s the crib note: Classic Shell restores almost every Windows XP-era Explorer feature. The best change, in our opinion, is the reemergence of the ‘up’ arrow, meaning you now navigate without using the Windows Vista/7 ‘breadcrumbs’ address bar. The status bar yet again shows the total size of your selection, and — praise be! — the diabolical Windows 7 Copy File ‘copy and replace?’ dialog has been replaced with a Windows XP lookalike (image after the break).
New to the most recent version of Classic Shell is the ability to make IE9 look like IE8. With Classic Shell the title bar yet again has a caption, so you can see the full title of Web pages. The current security zone and loading progress indicator have been put back into the status bar, too. If you enable ‘Show tabs on a separate row,’ it’s almost like using IE8.
Finally, Classic Shell replaces the omnipotent Windows 7 Start Menu with the age-old ‘classic’ Windows 2000/XP-style Start Menu. Classic Shell makes the Start Menu skinable, too, if you’re into the kind of thing.
As awesome as it sounds, we’ve only touched on a small section of Classic Shell’s feature set. Check the Classic Shell site for a complete list. There’s a few more images of Classic Shell in action after the break.

Celebrity fitness trainer shares her advice for Blue Ivy Carter’s mama.

<P>Now that <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/knowles_beyonce/artist.jhtml">Beyoncé</a> and <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/jay_z/artist.jhtml">Jay-Z</a> have welcomed <a href="/news/articles/1676906/beyonce-jay-z-baby-born-ivy-blue.jhtml">Blue Ivy Carter</a> into the world, it's time to get back to work. In the days since Blue's birth, Jay has already released a track, <a href="/news/articles/1677163/beyonce-jay-z-baby-blue-carter-glory-song.jhtml">"Glory,"</a> featuring his baby girl, making her the youngest person ever to appear on a <i>Billboard</i> chart. But for new mom Bey, the road back to headlining tours and music videos starts with getting her enviable physique back in tip-top shape. </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:725377.id:1676907" width="240" height="211"></div><p> Beyoncé is known for many things, and her bangin' body is right at the top of the list — hers was the bod that inspired a new word, "Bootylicious," after all. The pop superstar has always been the picture of health and happiness, and to celebrity trainer <a href="http://www.thehollywoodtrainer.com" target="_blank">Jeanette Jenkins</a> — who helped Pink and "Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol" star Paula Patton get back in shape after their pregnancies — that's half the challenge. "Working out should have been a part of a new mom's regimen before she got pregnant, while she was pregnant, and for the rest of her life," Jenkins told MTV News. "It should be part of your daily life, just like brushing your teeth or combing your hair. It's your internal hygiene. "The goal should not be to lose weight," she added. "The goal should be to live a healthy life, and by working out and eating healthy, you will be happy and the weight will just fall off because you are making healthy choices." So, where should Beyoncé start in her quest to get her fantastic abs and toned legs back? With her doctor, according to Jenkins. "A new mother should first wait until she gets clearance from her doctor, and she can immediately start by making healthy food choices. Once a mother receives clearance from her doctor, then her starting point depends on her fitness level," Jenkins said. "A weekly workout regimen should include all of the components of fitness — cardio, flexibility, muscular strength and muscular endurance — for overall functional health and fitness and for maximum results." Jenkins prescribes a strict training and diet program to her celebrity clients — a four- or five-day-a-week mix of cardio, endurance exercises like circuit training, and strength and flexibility training, including yoga and Pilates — but understands that the outcome will be more successful if the new mom is enjoying the regimen and has realistic expectations. "A new mother has to eat healthy for herself and for her child, but she also has to live and have a good time too," Jenkins said. "From my experience, if you make healthy food choices 80 percent of the time and eat whatever you like 20 percent of the time, then you will have great results. I recommend to my clients to eat healthy Monday through Friday and then let go on the weekend and enjoy yourself." </p><div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:724613.id:1676907" width="240" height="211"></div><p> The trainer also noted that "when people are having a good time, they are more likely to stick to their program." "The goal is to find activities and workouts that you enjoy so that you keep it a part of your life forever. Consistently mix it up, and enjoy working out," she advised. "Try yoga, Pilates, playing in the park with your kids, hiking and kickboxing." She also recommended dancing, which we know Queen B has down to a science. For those not lucky enough to have a personal trainer or unable to sneak away to the gym, Jenkins said, "A walk with the baby in a stroller is good enough. It will help a mother lose their extra baby weight by boosting metabolic rate and increasing caloric expenditure, but more importantly it will give you a boost of happy hormones so you feel great and it cleans out your internal organs, improving your body's pH balance and decreasing your risk of illness and disease." For Jenkins, the keys to a successful workout program are progression and variety. "Training for peak condition is just like training an athlete for peak performance. It has to be done in a healthy progression to maximize results and decrease risk of injury," she added. "For the best weight-loss and toning results, it is important to train the entire body head to toe through all of the components of fitness with an emphasis on using the core at all times. It doesn't matter if she is power walking, doing yoga or cooking in the kitchen, the core needs to be consistently engaged. Always pull your navel to your spine." Beyoncé reportedly maintained a healthy diet throughout <a href="http://newsroom.mtv.com/2011/12/16/jay-z-supports-beyonce-by-going-on-strict-healthy-diet">her pregnancy</a>, and just days before giving birth at New York's Lenox Hill Hospital was spotted <a href="/news/articles/1676647/beyonce-pregnant-new-years.jhtml">looking "amazing"</a> while dining out with her hubby in Brooklyn. If she keeps up her tireless work ethic, there's reason to believe she'll be back in bootylicious shape in no time.</p>

Color, the $41-million-in-funding location-oriented photo sharing startup, is susceptible to simple GPS spoofing. With nothing more than a jailbroken iPad or iPhone, you can use FakeLocation to trick Color into thinking you’re somewhere else. Within seconds you can be browsing photos that were snapped thousands of miles away. With a little digging, you can pore through photos not intended for your eyes.
Of course, such a hack isn’t illegal as such — every photo you take with Color is public. With FakeLocation you are simply circumventing Color’s very limited location-oriented security mechanism. It does undermine Color’s usefulness (and uniqueness), though — if nefarious types can sit in their bedroom or basement and eavesdrop on classy dinner parties and wild night club soirees, people might be less inclined to share personal photos with those around them.
Fortunately, both for Color and its users, this is an easy security hole to plug — at least in the short term. The app (or server-side) code simply checks to see if the user has ‘teleported’ an impossibly large distance, without any intermediate steps in between. In the long term, though, Color’s users must be aware that its social graph is completely public. Color’s users must realize that every photo they upload is visible by anyone, from any place.
After the break, just to elucidate a little on Color’s actual business model and ultimate intention, we have two amazing quotes from Bill Nguyen, Color’s founder.

Recently, Google has been busy beefing up Latitude to make it more competitive with other location apps — and more fun to use. Location history was added recently, iOS users can post check-ins via Latitude, and now Google has begun rolling out location-based deals which are tied to the service.
If you’re in the U.S., you can now score local savings at participating merchants by checking in with Latitude. Google will also be offering “status deals,” which users can unlock by visiting a particular merchant on a regular basis. Mashable notes three status levels: regular, VIP, and guru — though partners can apparently customize those titles if they choose.
Right now deals are available from merchants like American Eagle Outfitters, Arby’s, Finish Line, Macy’s, Quiznos, and RadioShack.

It has emerged that the underlying cause of RSA’s SecurID gaffe was the recently-reported zero-day vulnerability found in Adobe’s Flash Player.
The exploit, which used specially-crafted Flash embedding in Excel spreadsheets, was first reported on March 15 and has since been fixed. RSA was hacked sometime in the first half of March when an employee was successfully spear phished and opened an infected spreadsheet. As soon as the spreadsheet was opened, an advanced persistent threat (APT) — a backdoor Trojan — called Poison Ivy was installed. From there, the attackers basically had free reign of RSA’s internal network, which led to the eventual dissemination of data pertaining to RSA’s two-factor authenticators.
The attack is reminiscent of the APTs used in the China vs. Google attacks from last year — and indeed, Uri Rivner, the head of new technologies at RSA is quick to point out that that other big companies are being attacked, too: “The number of enterprises hit by APTs grows by the month; and the range of APT targets includes just about every industry. Unofficial tallies number dozens of mega corporations attacked [...] These companies deploy any imaginable combination of state-of-the-art perimeter and end-point security controls, and use all imaginable combinations of security operations and security controls. Yet still the determined attackers find their way in.”
What we’d like to know, though, is whether the attack on RSA was caused by Adobe’s lackadaisical approach to patching Flash — or was it the other way around? Was it the RSA attack that first brought the zero-day vulnerability to Adobe’s attention?

Yes, that’s right, I said adorable. Because Cueboy Quest really is!
You play an 8-bit cowboy whose goal on each level is to get to the door (and thus to the next level), but the door is often locked. To get it to open, you must shoot at one or more targets, and those targets aren’t always in your line of sight. For example, on one level the the target is a balloon which is stuck all the way at the other end of the screen. You must first nudge it free, and then watch it float up and try to shoot it before it floats clear off the screen. Your bullets are chunky pixels that have some weight – the have arcing trajectories, so you don’t always hit exactly where you aim.
There’s another level where you must jump on the balloon as it floats up, use it as a platform to get to the other end of the screen, and then turn to shoot it very quickly before it flies away. Each level is very short, and most of them are quite easy. And not only are the graphics 8-bit blocky, but they’re large too. Simply beautiful!
